TITHE BARN · BOLTON ABBEY · REAL WEDDING
Katie and Lucas’s wedding at The Tithe Barn brings together preparations, a ceremony beneath the timber beams, portraits outside and a lively evening inside the barn. This collection follows the day through 50 photographs, with space for both the setting and the people.
The story begins with the details and preparations: the dress, jewellery and the moments between Katie and the people getting ready with her. Photographs of Lucas and his groomsmen introduce the other side of the morning before everyone comes together for the ceremony. Inside The Tithe Barn, the beams and greenery frame the aisle. The collection includes the entrance, rings, reactions and the celebrations as Katie and Lucas leave the ceremony.
Outside, the stone buildings and greenery offer a change of pace for portraits. Family groups have their place in the story, alongside photographs of Katie and Lucas walking together, laughing and enjoying a few moments away from the crowd. Wide photographs show the setting; closer portraits keep the focus on them.
The reception photographs bring us back into the barn for speeches and the reactions around the tables. Later, the story takes in relaxed moments outside, the first dance and guests joining the dance floor. Together, these photographs show the people and celebrations that gave Katie and Lucas’s wedding its own character.
