Rudding House, the gardens, parkland and elegant reception spaces give us a huge amount of photographic variety without needing to take you away from your guests for long.
I have photographed weddings at Rudding Park over a number of years and know how to work around the venue while keeping the day relaxed. My approach is documentary-led, concentrating on genuine moments, reactions and the people around you, with short, natural portrait sessions when they fit comfortably into the day.

My approach at Rudding Park
Most of your photographs should happen while you are actually enjoying your wedding. I concentrate on natural moments throughout the day rather than constantly stopping things for photographs.
For couple portraits, around 10 to 15 minutes is normally enough. Rudding Park gives us several very different backgrounds within a short walk, so we can create plenty of variety without disappearing for an hour-long photoshoot.
I also offer wedding videography at Rudding Park. Photography and film can be covered together with the same relaxed approach, allowing us to capture the ceremony, speeches and atmosphere of the day without turning it into a production.
Photography tip: Rudding Park has enough variety that you do not need one long portrait session. A few minutes after the ceremony and another short session later if the light changes usually works much better.

Yes. I have photographed weddings at Rudding Park over a number of years. Knowing the venue and how the different spaces work makes it much easier to fit photography naturally around your plans rather than making the photography dictate the wedding day.
How long do you need for couple photographs at Rudding Park?
Usually around 10 to 15 minutes is plenty. There are several very different locations close together, so we can create a varied set of portraits without taking you away from your guests for a large part of the day. If the evening light becomes particularly good, we can always step outside again for another few minutes.
What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
Rudding Park works particularly well in poor weather because we are not dependent on the gardens for photographs. The house and indoor spaces give us plenty to work with, and if we get a short break in the weather we can quickly make use of the grounds without disrupting the day.
Can you have an outdoor wedding ceremony at Rudding Park?
Yes. Rudding Park offers outdoor ceremony options around the Jupiter Terrace and gardens, giving you a beautiful setting with Rudding House and the surrounding grounds as the backdrop.
Can you get married in the chapel at Rudding Park?
The chapel can be used for a wedding blessing following a civil ceremony, rather than as the location for the legal marriage itself. It is a lovely and very distinctive part of the estate for couples who want to include it in their wedding day.
Do you offer wedding films at Rudding Park?
Yes. I offer both photography and wedding videography at Rudding Park. Photography and film can be covered together, allowing the team to work around one another while keeping the experience relaxed and unobtrusive.
